Meizu PRO 6 was expected to launch in late Q3 this year, but judging by the amount of leaked material lately, this phone might surface sooner than expected. The Meizu PRO 6 has popped up on GFXBench and AnTuTu in the last 24 hours, and we were wondering when will its GeekBench listing see the light of day. Well, believe it or not, the phone now surfaced on GeekBench as well, read on.
The Meizu PRO 6 has managed to score 2,060 points in a single-core test, and 5,317 points in the multi-core test on GeekBench. The listing on GeekBench once again confirmed that the phone will be fueled by MediaTek’s newly-announced Helio X25 (MT6797T) 64-bit deca-core processor, even though Meizu already officially confirmed that during MediaTek’s recent press event. Anyhow, the 3GB RAM variant of Meizu PRO 6 surfaced on GeekBench, and the listing confirmed that the device will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, on top of which you’ll get Meizu’s very own Android-based Flyme UI.
That being said, the Meizu PRO 6 managed to score almost 100,000 points on AnTuTu, which only confirms that the Helio X25 SoC is quite powerful. It’s still not comparable to the Exynos 8890 or Snapdragon 820 in terms of sheer power, but this processor will be more than enough to fuel pretty much any phone out there and offer great performance, at least according to benchmarks. The Meizu PRO 6 will sport a fullHD (1920 x 1080) display (probably an AMOLED panel), though we still don’t know how large will it be. GFXBench listing reported that the display will be 4.6-inches big, but that’s hard to believe. Meizu PRO 5 Mini was expected to sport such a compact display, but that phone probably won’t see the light of day, the company confirmed. The PRO 6 will almost certainly ship in both 3GB and 4GB RAM variants, and a 21-megapixel snapper will be placed on its back. The device will be made out of metal, and the ‘mBack’ physical home button will be placed below the display, and will house a fingerprint scanner. Meizu will hold two press events next month, and even though it’s hard to expect this handset to be announced so soon, anything is possible.
