It’s Galaxy S7 Day! Actually, wrong company. Either way, today is the day that the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge launch in 60 countries worldwide, including the four major carriers here in the US. Sprint is offering up the device starting today, both online and in-store. They have had the two smartphones up for pre-order since February 23rd, and those pre-orders should have arrived at doorsteps already.
Much like AT&T and T-Mobile, Sprint is also doing a pretty impressive deal when you buy multiple Galaxy S7’s or Galaxy S7 Edge’s. Buy one and you get the second one half off. Additionally, they are doing “Galaxy For Life”. What this means is that you are essentially leasing your new Galaxy S7 from Sprint for a year, and next year you’ll be one of the first to pick up the Galaxy S8 when it goes on sale. It’s pretty similar to their iPhone for Life program they’ve been doing with Apple.
Otherwise, we have four options for buying the Galaxy S7. First up is the 24-month leasing and that will cost you $0 today and $25.99 per month (this also counts for Galaxy for Life). Then there is 24-monthly payments, the difference here is that you will own the device, instead of needing to return it. It’ll cost you $0 today and $27.09 each month for 24 months. The 2-year contract will cost you $199, and nothing extra per month. And finally the full retail price is $649. On the Galaxy S7 Edge side, the 24-month lease jumps to $30.50 per month and $0 down. The 24-monthly payments goes to $31.25 per month with $0 down. It’ll be $299 on a two-year contract and finally the full retail price will be $749.99.
The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are both pretty pricey smartphones, but that’s pretty much expected, considering these are Samsung’s flagship devices, and you’re paying for that. Sprint is selling them at full price, cheaper than AT&T though, around $50 cheaper. So there’s that at least. Sprint is also still doing the 50% off for those who switch from AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile, so if you’re thinking of switching, today might be a great time to do so.
