After months of rumors and leaks, HTC has finally announced their long-awaited flagship, the HTC 10. That being said, HTC did release some availability and pricing information for the HTC 10, and just in case you’re interested in picking one up, read on.
First and foremost, it is worth mentioning that the HTC 10 will be available in Carbon Grey, Glacier Silver, Topaz Gold and Camellia Red color variants, though the availability will vary from market to market, fo course. HTC did not release all that much detail regarding pricing and availability, at least as far as non-US markets go. We do know that the device will be available in the U.K. across multiple operators starting from early May. The company said that U.K. carriers will release pricing and availability info in due time, and the phone will be available in Carbon Grey, Glacier Silver and Topaz Gold color variants. Now, as far as U.S. availability goes, the device is already available for pre-order from HTC’s official site. The phone is available unlocked for $699, and you can also pre-order it through T-Mobile and AT&T if you want. Do keep in mind that only Carbon Grey and Glacier Silver color options are available in the U.S., at least for the time being.
The HTC 10 sports a 5.2-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC, along with an Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. The 12-megapixel UltraPixel OIS snapper is placed on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel OIS shooter can be up front. The 3,000mAh battery is also a part of the package, along with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The phone is made out of metal, and it sports a capacitive home button up front, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is pre-installed on the HTC 10, and the company’s Sense UI is placed on top of Google’s offering. Dolby-enhanced BoomSound audio output is also included here. UPDATE: It seems like the listing on HTC’s US site was wrong, the company has confirmed that the device won’t be available through AT&T, but Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile will carry it.
