Metal-Clad ZTE Nubia X8 & X8 Mini Surface On TENAA

ZTE has introduced quite a few devices last year, and a number of them were quite compelling. The Nubia Z9 sported sleek looking bezel-less design, while the company’s Axon lineup was quite successful as well. ZTE’s Nubia devices are still limited to Asian markets, but the company did introduce Nubia.com global website earlier this year, which means they will probably expand the availability of their Nubia offerings. That being said, the company has been teasing the upcoming Nubia Z11 Mini handset for quite some time now, and it seems like it might be announced on April 19th.

That being said, two new Nubia-branded handsets have been certified by TENAA, the Nubia X8 and X8 Mini. Having that in mind, Nubia might be teasing the Nubia X8 Mini launch on April 19th, not the Nubia Z11 Mini announcement, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Anyhow, let’s see what these two phones have to offer, shall we. The Nubia NX523J (aka Nubia X8) sports a 6-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage. This device will be fueled by a 64-bit octa-core SoC clocked at 1.8, which could be the Snapdragon 652 processor. The 16-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of this phone, and an 8-megapixel shooter will be available up front. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop has been listed on TENAA, and on top of it, you’ll find Nubia’s very own custom UI. This device will measures 159.15 x 82.25 x 7.4mm, while it will weight 138 grams. The Nubia X8 will be made out of metal, sport a 4,000mAh battery, and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner will also be included here.

The Nubia NX527J (aka Nubia X8 Mini), on the other hand, will ship with a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable native storage. This handset’s SoC will run at 1.5GHz, and it will also be an octa-core processor. This suggests that Nubia might opt to include the Snapdragon 617 SoC in this handset, but we’ll see. The 2,900mAh battery will also be a part of this package, and so will the 16 and 8-megapixel cameras (rear and front ones). The fingerprint scanner will also be available on the back, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop was listed on TENAA for this device as well. The Nubia X8 Mini will, much like its sibling, going to be made out of metal.
