The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones are Samsung’s current flagship offerings. These two phones were announced back in February during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, and are currently available all over the world. People have been wondering for quite some time now if the company plans to introduce the Galaxy S7 Active considering the fact that their smartphones are actually both water and dust resistant. Well, according to the latest info, the Galaxy S7 Active is right around the corner, read on.
AT&T’s Galaxy S7 Active has popped up earlier this month, and @evleaks shared a render of the device quite recently as well. The tipster shared a Galaxy S7 Active image in the ‘Desert Camo’ color variant, and now another render leaked, read on. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see the same device that surfaced earlier this month, but this time around we get to look at its render, rather than a real life image. The phone looks identical to the ones we’ve seen recently, it looks very rugged, and considering how many leaks surfaced recently, this device might arrive soon. This ‘green’ variant of the device looks quite nice, though it won’t be for everyone, of course. So, when will this phone launch? Well, we still don’t know, but rumors claim it might arrive on June 10th, and it might also be exclusive to AT&T, but we’ll see what happens.
What about its specs? Well, according to leaks, the phone will sport a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC will fuel the device, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on it, with Samsung’s custom UI available on top of Google’s operating system. The 12-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of this phone, the same one you can find included with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The 5-megapixel camera is expected to be available up front, and the phone will probably include some sort of a rubber material on top of polycarbonate.
