OnePlus has managed to surprise quite a few people back in 2014 when the company introduced their first handset, the OnePlus One. This device was considered to be one of the best smartphones of the year, and was followed by the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X last year. This China-based company is expected to introduce their third-gen flagship, the OnePlus 3, next month, the rumored date is June 14th. The OnePlus 3 has been leaking like crazy over the last couple of weeks, and the device was even certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) quite recently. Well, the device has now visited the FCC as well, read on.
A week after the OnePlus 3 appeared at TENAA, the phone has stopped by the FCC as well. The FCC listing really doesn’t reveal all that much, except for the fact it confirms its existence basically. Now, thanks to TENAA’s listing (and some reports), we know not only the specs of the device, but also its design. The OnePlus 3 will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display, along with 4GB / 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor will fuel OnePlus’ new flagship, and an Adreno 530 GPU will be included here as well. The 16-megapixel OIS snapper will be placed on the back of the OnePlus 3, and an 8-megapixel shooter will be available up front. The 3,000mAh battery will also be a part of this package, and it will not be removable. OnePlus has also trademarked their very own fast charging solution a while back, it’s called ‘Dash Charge’, and it might be featured in the OnePlus 3. The fingerprint scanner will be located below the display as part of the home button (physical or capacitive one), and the phone will ship with two SIM card slots. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will ship out of the box here, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find OnePlus’ Oxygen OS (Hydrogen OS in the Chinese variant of the device). 4G LTE with VoLTE is also expected here, and the phone will measures 152.6 x 74.6 x 7.3mm, while it will weight 160 grams.
Now, the OnePlus 3 is expected to ship in Light Gray, Black and Gold color variants, though we’re sure OnePlus will share more info during their press event. That is pretty much it, the OnePlus 3 announcement is right around the corner, we do expect the company to confirm the date of their event soon, and until they do, we’ll guess that it will be held on June 14th as it was reported recently.
