When it comes to Samsung and announcing smartphones, it never rains but it pours. As has been the case for sometime now, when Samsung launches a new smartphone, it is not typically a singular affair and that seems to be the case again today. Earlier today in China Samsung did announce the Samsung Galaxy C5, which led to speculation as to why they also did not unveil the equally-often reported on Galaxy C7. Well, they did and the Galaxy C7 is now official.
In terms of the specs, the Samsung Galaxy C7 comes equipped with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, which makes use of a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside, the Samsung Galaxy C7 comes loaded with 4GB RAM and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa-core processor (clocking at 2.0 GHz), along with an Adreno 506 processing the graphics. In terms of storage, it looks as though there are two options available, a 32GB internal storage option and a 64GB internal storage option. Both models offer expansion thanks to the inclusion of a microSD card slot with support up to 128GB. Moving to the camera side of things and the Samsung Galaxy C7 is equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera which is coupled with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Additional features on offer include dual-SIM support, a 3,300 mAh battery, Quick Charge 3.0 support, 4G LTE support, a fingerprint sensor, NFC and the Samsung Galaxy C7 comes running on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) out of the box. For those interested in the physical dimensions, the Samsung Galaxy C7 measures 156.6 x 77.2 x 6.7 mm and weighs in at 165 grams.
Unfortunately, it seems availability on the Samsung Galaxy C7 has yet to be confirmed. However, it does seem that pricing information is available with reports detailing that the 32GB model will cost Yuan 2,599, which roughly equates to $396. In terms of the larger storage model, this is said to be priced at Yuan 2,799, which roughly converts to $426. So both models are priced quite competitively considering the specs that are on offer. It is also briefly worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy C7 is listed to be available in Gold, Gray, Pink, Silver and Rose Gold color options.
