Jide may not yet be a household name, but they’re still doing some great things with the Android ecosystem. They’re known for the currently available Remix Ultratablet and Remix Mini, a small Android-powered PC, as well as the more recently released Remix 2.0 software that you can install on numerous devices. Although there has been quite a bit of focus on the Remix OS 2.0 software of late, Jide is not done with hardware, and has recently shown off an all-in-one PC powered by Remix OS 2.0 in partnership with AOC, and now at Computex, they’ve shown off the follow-up to the Remix Ultra, dubbed the Remix Pro, a new tablet that seems to live up to the older model in terms of design.
The Remix Pro tablet will run on the newest version of Remix OS software, Remix OS 3.0 which is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and it comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor which is partnered up with an Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB of RAM. There is no word on the storage amount it looks like, at least for now, but plenty of the other specifications have been detailed, such as a 12-inch IPS Quad-HD display, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC, and dual-band WiFi MIMO. Jide states that there will also be 4G LTE models available.
In addition to the above-listed specs, the Remix Pro tablet will also feature a USB Type-C port alongside a full-size USB port, and it carries a rear-facing camera with an 8MP sensor, while the camera on the front is a 5MP sensor. The WiFi-only model reportedly comes with a microSD card slot while the 4G LTE model does not, and the tablet of course features an audio port so you can plug in a pair of headphones if needed. Jide has slimmed down the Remix Pro tablet a little bit as it comes in at 650g with a thinness of 7mm. Based on the images, Jide has stuck with a built-in kickstand on the back of the tablet and it will still offer a connectable keyboard dock for more productivity purposes. At current there is no pricing or availability details that Jide has set, so the Remix Pro tablet may or may not be launching in the near future.
