Nubia Z11 'Bezel-Less' Handset Will Launch On June 28th

Nubia is a Chinese smartphone manufacturing company which introduced a number of compelling devices in the last year or so. The company released the Nubia Z9, Z9 Mini and Z9 Max last year, all three devices were announced at the same time, but that wasn’t the case for this year’s models. The company has introduced the Nubia Z11 Mini back in April, while the Nubia Z11 Max was announced earlier this month. This means that Nubia still has to announce the Nubia Z11 at some point, and we’ve been wondering when that might be. Well, they’ve more or less confirmed the release date for this handset, read on.

The company has posted a Nubia Z11 teaser poster on their official Weibo (Chinese social network) page. If you take a look at the image above, you’ll get to see the poster yourself, and you’ll notice June 28th is listed on it. The company is not trying to hide it any longer, they’ve basically mentioned that the Nubia Z11 ‘bezel-less’ smartphone will be announced on said date, and as you can see, Cristiano Ronaldo is also included in this poster. The Portuguese superstar has become Nubia’s brand ambassador quite recently, and this China-based company has used its image for pretty much every smartphone launch since they signed the contract, which was to be expected. Now, what can we expect to see out of Nubia Z11? Well, luckily for us, the device has surfaced on TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) already, which gives us a pretty good idea of not only what specs will the phone sport, but also what will it look like, read on.

The metal-clad Nubia Z11 will, according to TENAA, feature a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display with no bezels on the sides. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 652 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 2,900mAh battery will also be a part of this package. The 16-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of the Nubia Z11, and an 8-megapixel camera will be available up front. The fingerprint scanner will be located on the back of the Nubia Z11, and the device will ship out with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, at least according to TENAA, keep in mind that it might include Android 6.0 Marshmallow by the time it launches. This phone will also pack in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage.
