Nubia had already introduced the Nubia Z11 Mini and Z11 Max smartphones, direct successors to the Nubia Z9 Mini and Z9 Max devices which were announced a year ago. That being said, we’re all waiting for the company to introduce the Nubia Z11, and thanks to Nubia’s recent confirmation, we do know that the device will land on June 28th. The Nubia Z11 had been certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) a while back, and now the company’s General Manager gave us some more insight, read on.
The company’s General Manager, Ni Fei, has actually confirmed that the Nubia Z11 will sport a ‘bezel-less’ display. TENAA’s listing more or less confirmed this a while back, but it’s always nice to get an official confirmation from the company’s exec. Now, in addition to this confirmation, Ni Fei also shared a picture of the front panel of the Nubia Z11. The company has managed to reduce thickness of the Nubia Z11 compared to the Nubia Z9, and that is actually not surprising at all considering the fact that the Nubia Z9 is quite thick for today’s standards, it’s 8.9mm thick. Now, we’ve seen several listings of this smartphone on TENAA, one of which claimed that the device will ship with a mid-range SoC, while the other one reported that the Snapdragon 820 will be included in this package. We’re more prone to believe the second option considering this is supposed to be Nubia’s new flagship smartphone, and the Nubia Z9 was fueled by the Snapdragon 810, Qualcomm’s last-gen flagship SoC.
Now, in addition to the Snapdragon 820, this handset is expected to ship with 4GB of RAM (6GB RAM variant is also possible), and 64GB of internal storage. The 16-megapixel rear-facing camera will also be a part of this package, and the phone will sport a 2,900mAh non-removable battery. If TENAA is to be believed, the Nubia Z11 will be only 7.75mm thick, and you can expect it to ship with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner this time around.
