T-Mobile's Binge On Now Includes Over 100 Video Services

Today T-Mobile has announced that they will be extending the value of Binge On as it now includes over 100 different services that customers can stream data-free. When T-Mobile initially announced Binge On as part of one of their previous Un-carrier initiatives last year, it already included a wide array of different popular video services that subscribers of the network could stream for free without eating into their monthly high speed data amounts, and now customers are getting access to quite a bit more providers as T-Mobile states that services have been quadrupled compared to the amount that was available during the Binge On launch just eight months prior to now.

While T-Mobile does list off every single single new service which is joining the Binge On compatibility list, they do also highlight quite a few of the new video providers, including some big name options like ABC, Apple Music, Disney, DISH Anywhere, Fox Now, and NAT GEO TV. Alongside these are a handful of smaller providers like CEEK VR, D-PAN.TV – the sign language channel, DramaFever, and Shalom World. Of course, as mentioned above there are quite a few others which T-Mobile does list off in their announcement, and in total including the ones mentioned above, there are sixteen new providers that have been added to the list.

While Binge On has had its fair share of controversy, the feature does seem to be making plenty of customers pretty happy. According to T-Mobile’s data, there have been more than 765 million hours of data-free video that have been streamed since the Binge On feature launched last year. T-Mobile states that out of 80 percent of the providers that were surveyed said that customers were watching longer, watching more on mobile devices, or watching more frequently than before after having been added into the Binge On feature, and 45 percent of the provider which offer paid subscriptions expect that they’ll be able to gain more paid subscribers as a direct result of being included in Binge On, which is quite an improvement and good news for the service providers as well as the customers who are subscribing to them. Those who want a little break down can hear John Legere talk about the changes in the video below.
