With the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 announcement slated to take place on August 2nd which is this coming Tuesday, it shouldn’t be too surprising that there were quite a few leaks of the device leading up to it this past week. Although not official, the specs for the Galaxy Note 7 leaked on two separate occasions, both on this past Thursday with one leak in the morning and then another leak happening in a Reddit AMA later that evening. A full 360-degree view of the Galaxy Note 7 showed up this past week as well, providing the first 360-degree look at the device through an animated GIF image.

While the Galaxy Note 7 is due to be announced on August 2nd, it was rumored that the device is set to go up for pre-order on August 3rd, with a launch happening on August 19th. In a separate rumor, the launch is said to be happening on August 16th in the UK. While many leaks and rumors this past week revolved around the upcoming Galaxy Note 7, Xiaomi was also in the news as they recently launched a laptop in China called the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air. Verizon also officially announced their acquisition of Yahoo this past week for $4.8 Billion. If you happened to miss any of this past week’s top stories, you can find them in the links below.
