This week has proven to be quite eye opening in terms of leaks for upcoming devices, as leaks popped up for the rumored HTC Nexus Marlin, Nexus Sailfish, and the Galaxy Note 7. While there is no official word from Google on a Nexus announcement just yet, the leak for the HTC Nexus Marlin showed off earlier this week was a mockup based on details of the design that appear to show what the phones final design will look like. Whether surprising or not, based on the leak the device will look a lot like the HTC 10, save for a back mounted fingerprint sensor instead of it being on the front like on the HTC 10, as well as the Nexus branding and a different color.
In regards to the Galaxy Note 7 from Samsung, there is pretty much nothing that isn’t unofficially known about the device at this point which is scheduled to be announced on August 2nd at Samsung’s Unpacked event. In addition to renders of the device which have popped up, most of the specifications have also been leaked and were leaked on two separate occasions, including yesterday morning and yesterday evening. When it comes to the other rumored HTC Nexus device, codenamed Sailfish, the build.prop was leaked in the beginning of the week, while it was rumored yesterday that the device body will use plastic or polycarbonate and metal build materials, with Marlin set to come sporting an all-metal build. This might have already been suspected, but with the rumor now out there it adds a little more suggestion to what many users may have already been thinking. All three devices are sure to be compelling and exciting, but with the Galaxy Note 7 announcement coming up next week and the potential for Google to announce the two new Nexus devices from HTC in the following near future, which device has you more excited?
