You Can Now Send Personalized Bitoji On Snapchat

Today, Snapchat has officially announced that they will allow their users to send snaps of personalized emoji to other users. The feature is actually made possible by a partnership between Snapchat and Bitmoji who are providing the personalized emoji capabilities. Beyond being able to send a snap with a Bitmoji inside, users will also be able to use the Bitmoji inside of chat conversations as well. If you’re unfamiliar with Bitmoji, they create personalized packs of stickers that are designed to look like just like the user, giving your messages, and now snaps, a more personal feel and level of flair to them.

Using Bitmoji inside of Snapchat is quite simple for those out there who may be avid users of the social platform. Before you can do anything you’ll have to create a set of Bitmoji to use, and to do this you’ll need to download the Bitmoji app and create an account by signing up. Once that’s done you can create the Bitmoji and link them to Snapchat, at which point you can begin sending them in Snaps or chats. The integration also allows you to send what Bitmoji are calling “Friendmoji” which will show up for users if the friend that they’re communicating with also has Bitmoji linked to their Snapchat account. These can be a little extra special as they show both the user and their friend’s Bitmoji in the same sticker making it a little bit more unique.

When typing in chat, Bitmoji show up in the keyboard area where you would find other stickers, and when sending a Snap there will be an icon in the top right corner where you’ll find the stickers you can add, which is also where the Bitmoji will now reside once the accounts are connected between both apps. Bitmoji have quite a bit of customization options for creating just the right Bitmoji stickers, and creating them in the app seems fairly simple and not very time consuming. Although it could easily take up quite a bit of time if you’re someone who enjoys customizing characters and things like this. If you’re a current Snapchat user the Bitmoji integration is already live so you can start sending them right away if you have already have Bitmoji created.
