ASUS had introduced three new ZenFone 3 devices back in May, the ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Ultra and ZenFone 3 Deluxe. The company had also released two additional ZenFone 3 devices later on, but the three aforementioned phones were the first ZenFone 3 devices and basically the best the company has to offer at the moment. These three phones resemble each other quite a bit, but there are some significant differences between them, the ZenFone 3 is the cheapest of the three, the ZenFone 3 Ultra is the largest one, and the ZenFone 3 Deluxe is ASUS’ flagship for 2016.
That being said, Indian consumers have been wondering when will ASUS release those three devices in India, and luckily for them, now we have that info. The company has started sending out press invites for the ZenFone 3 launch in India, as you can see in the image down below. The company is calling this event ‘Z3nvolution’ and it clearly hints at ZenFone 3 line launch in the country. The event will be hosted by the company’s CEO, Jerry Shen, on August 17th. It is almost certain that ASUS plans to introduce all three ZenFone 3 devices which were announced back in May, but we’ll have to wait for the press event in order to confirm that.
The ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Ultra and ZenFone 3 Deluxe sport a 5.5-inch, 6.8-inch, and 5.7-inch displays, respectively. The first and second handset come with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, while the Deluxe model can be purchased in either 4GB or 6GB RAM flavors. The first two phones are fueled by the Snapdragon 625 and Snapdragon 652 SoCs, respectively, while the ZenFone 3 Deluxe comes with either the Snapdragon 820 or Snapdragon 821. The 16-megapixel OIS camera is placed on the back of the ZenFone 3, while the ZenFone 3 Ultra and Deluxe come with a 23-megapixel OIS shooter (f/2.0 aperture, PDAF). All three devices ship with an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on all of these phones with the company’s ZenUI 3.0 on top of it.
