AT&T is launching the all new Kyocera DuraForce Pro in the near future, as they have just announced via their blog that the device will go up for pre-order this week on August 31st, with actual sales of the device in stores and online happening on September 9th. Starting this Wednesday anyone who is looking for a more rugged device that can stand up to the unexpected damages of everyday life will be able to place pre-orders for the Kyocera DuraForce Pro in local retail stores and on AT&T’s website for $13.97 per month for 30 months on AT&T’s Next plan. AT&T will also offer the device on their Next Every Year plan, which will only be 24 monthly payments with a slightly higher monthly cost of $17.46.
Kyocera officially announced the DuraForce Pro towards the beginning of this month on August 10th, and now subscribers will finally have a chance to get their hands on this durable smartphone. While the DuraForce Pro will be ideal for those who work in tougher jobs like construction or other rugged work environments, it’ll also be a good solution for those who have a more active lifestyle and would prefer a phone that is built with that in mind.
The Kyocera DuraForce Pro is IP68 certified on top of its already undoubtedly tough exterior, giving consumers the ability to go about their day worry free of unexpected accidents and other scenarios which might normally be a cause for concern in the damage department. According to AT&T, the phone is waterproof up to 6.5 feet for up to 30 minutes, and it’s dustproof, so a little water and/or a little dirt shouldn’t alarm subscribers who choose to pick up this device. The DuraForce Pro also has a military standard 810G protection which will help to keep the internals of the device as well as the 5-inch Full HD display protected from drops and dings. The phone will feature AT&T push-to-talk functionality, and it comes equipped with 13MP rear camera as well as a 5MP front camera, a fingerprint sensor, a 3,240 mAh battery, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 CPU paired with 32GB of internal storage and expandable storage support up to 256GB.
