LeEco Le 2S Pops Up On GFXBench With SD820 SoC & 4GB Of RAM

LeEco has been in the smartphone game for less than a year and a half at this point, but they’ve already managed to make a name for themselves, not only in China, but in other markets as well. The company had released a number of devices up to this point, and they’ve recently partnered up with Coolpad to release the Cool1 smartphone as well. Now, the Le Max 2 is LeEco’s flagship device at the moment, this is a rather large phablet however, and consumers have been wondering when will LeEco release a smaller flagship. Well, the Le 2S has been leaking out for quite some time now, the phone’s real life images leaked yesterday, and now we get to take a look at its specifications thanks to GFXBench, read on.

According to GFXBench, the LeEco Le 2S will sport a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, and the Adreno 530 GPU. The 16-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of this phone, while you’ll be able to find an 8-megapixel snapper up front. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the device, and LeEco will include their very own custom OS on top of it. That’s pretty much everything this listing reveals, aside from the fact this handset’s model number is ‘X720’. So, it seems like the Snapdragon 821 and 8GB of RAM rumors were false, unless LeEco plans to introduce two Le 2S variants, which is highly unlikely. Now, in addition to the GFXBench listing, the device also got certified by the CCC (China Compulsory Certification) or 3C authority in China, which only confirms that the device is on the way, and that it will launch soon.

Based on the leaked images, the LeEco Le 2S’ side bezels will be really thin, and it seems like a 2.5D curved glass will also be a part of the package. Both of its physical keys will be placed on the right, while it is hard to expect for this phone to ship with a physical button below the display, at least based on LeEco’s previous models. The phone will be made out of metal, and it will also offer an interesting antenna design, similar to the one we’ve seen on the Meizu PRO 6.
