The Meizu PRO 6 is the company’s flagship smartphone for 2016, but based on the rumors and leaks we’ve seen lately, it might not stay that way for long. The Meizu PRO 7 seems to be on the way, and if rumors and leaks are to be believed, that phone will not only ship with a curved display, but will also be fueled by the Exynos 8890, which essentially means that it might blow the Helio X25-powered Meizu PRO 6 out of the water. Having that in mind, the Meizu PRO 7 will probably sport a larger, 5.7-inch display, so the Meizu PRO 6 will still be a smartphone flagship in a way, considering it sport a 5.2-inch panel.
We’ve already seen several Meizu PRO 7 design leaks thus far, and a new set of images surfaced recently. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see the Meizu PRO 7 in the flesh. There are three real life images included in the gallery, and as you can see, the phone will sport a curved display on both sides. Now, truth be told, its side bezels look to be very thin, but recent renders suggested that the bezels will be non-existent basically. Having that in mind, these leaked images look to be more believable than the renders that leaked the other day. We cannot confirm this is the final design of the phone, though, we’ll have to wait and see what will Meizu announce on September 3rd, when this phablet is expected to be announced.
In any case, the Meizu PRO 7 will sport the company’s multifunctional mBack physical home key, while its power / lock and volume rocker keys will be placed on the right. The device will sport a metallic frame, though we still do not know whether it will be a metal unibody device like its predecessor, or will Meizu opt to include glass on the back of this smartphone. The Meizu PRO 7 is expected to ship with a 5.7-inch QHD display, 4GB of RAM (6GB RAM variant is a possibility) and more than one internal storage variant. The 12-megapixel shooter is rumored to be included on the back of this phone, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will quite probably come pre-installed on it with Meizu’s Flyme UI. The Exynos 8890 will fuel this smartphone, and the aforementioned home button will double as a fingerprint scanner, while you’ll be able to use it as a capacitive back key as well.
