Mercenary Kings Comes To Android TV, Priced At $9.99

If you are looking for a new Android TV game to play over the weekend then it looks like you are in luck as OUYA Publishing has now made available Mercenary Kings on Android TV. Which unlike most of the games which have been coming through for Android TV lately, this one is not exclusive to the NVIDIA SHIELD and is exclusive to Android TV in general. So whether you own the Razer Forge TV, the NVIDIA SHIELD or the Nexus Player you are good with this on. However, it does seem that you cannot play this one if you are using a built-in version of Android TV, as the game does not currently seem to be showing support for any of the TV sets which comes running on Android TV. In short, this is Android TV box only game for now.

For those unfamiliar with Mercenary Kings, this is a game which has slowly progressed its way through the gaming ranks, becoming available on Windows and then in console form and now in Android form, albeit for Android TV only. On offer is a 2D style game which comes packing 100 different missions and also offers both single-player and (local) co-op gameplay. This is very much in line with what you might expect from a ‘run and gun’ type of game.

In terms of getting the game, as mentioned this is available to all Android TV box devices, although it is a game you will have to pay for. The current price of the game is $9.99 and from the looks of it, there are no further IAPs – so all you are paying is that straight up $10 to buy and play. Those interested can find out more about Mercenary Kings or download a copy by heading over to the Google Play Store listing. It is also worth mentioning that the app is available through the Amazon App Store as well, for those who currently own and use any of the Fire TV devices. Either way, you can check out the new launch trailer for a better idea of what is on offer with this latest ported game, by hitting play below.
