It seems like everything and nothing is known about the Pixel and Pixel XL, Google’s latest crop of smartphones that is just beyond the horizon and set to be unveiled next Tuesday. It seems like everything is known about them due to the vast amount of leaks that have been popping up, from specifications details to renders, and it seems like nothing is really known about them because none of the rumors or leaks are actual confirmations from Google. With that said, a new set of leaked renders has surfaced on the web that provide the best looking picture so far of what these phones will probably look like in person. While there have already been leaks of the device seemingly captured in the wild as well as a handful of realistic looking renders, these not only appear more lifelike, but they also envision the device in four colors.
In the render that shows all four phones side by side, the Pixel and Pixel XL are displayed in the steel color with the white glass back panel that leaked a little earlier this month, as well as what looks like the colors which Google released for the Nexus 6P, which were Graphite, Gold, and Silver colors.
Now, there is no way to know what colors Google will have for the Pixel and Pixel XL, and it’s likely that the person who created these renders simply thought that the design of the Pixel devices would look good in the colors from last year’s device. The one thing that is worth noting here is that these renders have the camera on the wrong side of the device, at least based on all the other previous leaks. Having said that, these are just renders and it’s quite possible that they were created with the camera on the wrong side due to feeling that it looked better. Despite this fact, the renders look fairly high quality and high resolution so at the very least they provide a good look at the details of the design, much of which is identical to other renders. Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL are set to be announced in just a few days, and Google may not have plans to launch them right away, but there is speculation that pre-orders will begin immediately. Whether or not that’s true is unclear and will be until Google shows off the devices.
