Google unveiled the Pixel and Pixel XL during an event in San Francisco last week. While both devices were already available for pre-orders in the US, UK, Australia, Germany and Canada from the same day they launched, the Pixel and Pixel XL were scheduled to land in India on October 13, well, today is the day Indian fans were waiting for and as expected, both devices are now up for pre-order in India. The Googel Pixel and Pixel XL will go live for pre-orders in India both from online retailers as well as multi-branded physical stores starting today. Both phones are currently available for pre-order on Flipkart and will start shipping out from October 25. In India, the Pixel starts at Rs. 57,000 ($855) for a 32GB model, and Rs. 66,000 ($990) for a 128GB version. The bigger, variant, the Pixel XL starts at Rs. 67,000 ($1,005) for a 32GB model, and Rs. 76,000 ($1,440) if you want to pick up the 128GB version. It looks like not all variants are currently available for pre-order, at the time of writing this article, Flipkart only listed three Pixel devices, both models of Google Pixel, and a 128GB model of the Pixel XL. Those looking to buy the device from the physical store, rather than online, can pick up any of the “made by Google” smartphones from the brand stores of the Reliance Digital Store, TATA’s Croma store, and Vijay Sales across the country with a similar pricing. The Pixel and Pixel XL come in Quite Black and Very Silver color options in India. To make purchases easier, Google is also offering a no-cost EMI options and exchange offers up to Rs. 27,000 ($404) on the select old devices. For specifications, the Pixel and Pixel XL share the same hardware under the hood, save for the screen size, resolution and battery capacity. The Pixel packs a 5-inch fullHD AMOLED display, while the Pixel XL boasts a 5.5-inch QHD display. Both devices are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 CPU and an Adreno 530 GPU to handle graphics. In the camera department, both devices feature a 12.3-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) and an LED flash, while an 8-megapixel sensor is placed on the front side of these two phones. Both devices pack 4GB of RAM and flash storage of 32GB/128GB. To keep the show running, the Pixel has a 2,770mAh capacity battery while. Pixel has a 3,450 mAh battery to match the bigger screen size and higher resolution, while both devices comes pre-loaded with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.
