The Huawei Mate 9 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year. Huawei is the third-largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, and the company had already introduced a number of smartphones this year, not to mention that they’ve sold over 100 million smartphones this year already, which means that Huawei will be able to sell well over 100 million phones by the end of the year and totally crush last year’s record. That being said, the Mate 9 is the company’s upcoming flagship phablet which has been leaking out for quite some time now. Well, we have some new info to share with you now, read on.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro leaked a couple of days ago, and it seems like that is the final design of this handset, even though nothing has been confirmed just yet. In any case, the device’s manual also leaked, and it shares some additional info about the company’s upcoming handset. According to the leaked info, the Huawei Mate 9 will ship with a hybrid dual SIM setup, which means you’ll be able to use the second SIM slot in order to expand the device’s storage via a microSD card. This manual also confirms that the phone will sport a dual camera setup on the back, and the illustration on the photographed paper more or less proves that the leaked design of the Mate 9 is spot on. In addition to all this, the manual says that the phone will sport with a dual camera Leica setup, and that the dual tone flash will be a part of the offering as well, same goes for the laser autofocus, and the infrared sensor.
Now, according to some previous info, Huawei is planning to release two variants of this phablet, the Huawei Mate 9 (‘Manhattan’) and Mate 9 Pro. These two handsets will be quite similar it seems, though the regular ‘Mate 9’ device might ship with a regular, flat display, that phone had also leaked quite recently. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is expected to sport a home key below the display, while the Mate 9 won’t feature any keys below its display, only the company’s branding. The Huawei Mate 9 (both variants) will be made out of metal, and chances are that the phone will be fueled by Huawei’s Kirin 960 SoC. The regular model is said to ship with a 5.9-inch fullHD display, while the higher-end variant could sport a 5.9-inch QHD panel. Rumors are saying that the Mate 9 will come with 4GB / 6GB of RAM and multiple internal storage variants. The two camera sensors on the back of the Mate 9 are expected to house in 20 and 8-megapixel sensors, while Android 7.0 Nougat could ship out of the box.
