Samsung is one of the largest tech companies in the world, and also a number one smartphone manufacturer on this planet. The company is definitely going to suffer due to their recent Galaxy Note 7 issues, and we’ll see how will that affect their market share and sales by the end of this year, but the company is still coming strong as far as smartphone releases are concerned. The company will probably have to delay some of their planned projects due to the financial hit they’ll take following the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, but we doubt they’ll postpone their smartphone launches because of it, read on.
The company had introduced a number of devices this year, from their flagship Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones, all the way to the entry-level ‘Galaxy J’ phones. Well, in addition to all that, this company had also released two ‘Galaxy C’ handsets this year, the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7. These two phones had been announced in China, and are made especially for the Chinese market. These are both mid-range handsets, even though their specifications are really good, the Galaxy C7 definitely belongs in the upper-mid-range category. Having that in mind, we’re still waiting for the company to release the Galaxy C9 which had popped up on several benchmarking sites already, and the device was also certified by the FCC a while back. Now, the company had recently released a new teaser for the Galaxy C9, and it seems like we’ll get a different antenna design on this phone. The Galaxy C9 will sport three slim antenna lines across the top and bottom, instead of the two regular lines which are considerably thicker. This handset will be made out of metal, and it will be interesting to see what will the final product look like, Samsung is redesigning the antenna lines here, so maybe they opt to differentiate this device from the rest of the pack (Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7).
The Samsung Galaxy C9 will sport a 5.9-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 SoC will fuel this smartphone, along with the Adreno 510 GPU. The 16-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of this phone, and the company will include such a camera on the front side of this phone as well. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on this smartphone, and on top of it, you’ll get the company’s custom UI, of course.
