Xiaomi India: We've Sold Over 500,000 Smartphones In 3 Days

Xiaomi is one of the largest, and most popular smartphone manufacturers in China. This company had introduced quite a few smartphones since the beginning of this year, and they’ve made quite a few of those available in India as well. Xiaomi is looking to improve its position in India in the coming months / years, as the company sees great potential in that Asian country, and they’re not the only one, many companies are trying to do the same. That being said, some of Xiaomi’s devices were on sale in India during the festive season (last three days), their devices were available for less money on Amazon, Snapdeal and Flipkart, and it seems like the company had managed to sell quite a few devices during that time period, read on.

According to the company, they’ve managed to sell 500,000 devices in India in the last three days, which are crazy numbers. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime devices were the best-selling Xiaomi products on Flipkart as part of the Big Billion Days Sale, while the Redmi Note 3 was the most demanded smartphone on Amazon during the Great Indian Festival sale. In addition to this, four out of top 6 best-selling products on Amazon India were Xiaomi’s products, at least according to the company, The Redmi Note 3 (Gold), Redmi Note 3 (Gray), Mi Band 2 and the company’s 10,000mAh Mi Power Bank. “We are extremely proud to be sharing this milestone with our fans, partners and employees. More than six months of rigorous planning and hard work has helped us set a new benchmark in the industry. Last year we sold more than half a million phones in 30 days during the month of October, and this year we were able to achieve a similar number within three days,” said Manu Jain, Head of Xiaomi India.

Now, it seems like Flipkart had managed to sell more than 800,000 smartphones during their Big Billion Day Sale, and Xiaomi’s devices were quite popular. Xiaomi actually claims that their devices were the most popular in the smartphone category. That being said, Xiaomi still has some aces up their sleeve for this year, as they’re expected to introduce the Mi Note 2 flagship phablet in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that.
