Rumor: Verizon's Blue Coral Galaxy S7 Edge Available Nov. 17

Samsung appears to have been quite busy of late as they gear up for the arrival of the Blue Coral version of its Galaxy S7 Edge. Just yesterday, a screenshot of what looks like a T-Mobile ad was leaked online, suggesting the Blue Coral Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will be coming to the Uncarrier on November 18. That is a week after AT&T announced that the Blue Coral color option of the Galaxy S7 Edge was available to pre-order via its online store, with shipments slated to kick off on Friday. But it now seems like Verizon will be ahead of its rivals. At least if a report from SamMobile is any indication. According to the report, a representative from Big Red confirmed that the Blue Coral Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is heading to the carrier this Thursday, November 17.

Adding to the rolling out of the much-awaited color option of the Galaxy S7 Edge via Verizon, the carrier is also running a promotion where you can bag a second Blue Coral Galaxy S7 Edge for half the price of the handset, providing you buy the first at full price. That means, you can pick the Blue Coral version for just $16.50 a month on contract, down from $33 a month through the promotion.

Interestingly, the first pictures of the Galaxy S7 Edge in Blue Coral came through via Verizon back in October of this year, when photos of a Blue Coral back plate for the smartphone were leaked and bearing Big Red’s logo. So it is nice to finally see the real life version hitting the market, especially for those who had longed to get their hands on the Blue Coral version of the Galaxy Note 7 but failed to, after Samsung pulled the plug on the phablet’s production due to a major battery issue. Of course, the release of the Blue Coral Galaxy S7 Edge is seen as part of Samsung’s effort to fill the gap left by the Galaxy Note 7 and according to reports, the South Korean phone maker has even been ramping up production of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge to help fuel sales and fill that hole left by the Galaxy Note 7.
