The Xiaomi Mi MIX is one of the most beautiful smartphones of the year. Xiaomi managed to surprise quite a few people when they introduced the Mi MIX alongside the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 not long ago. This flagship phablet comes with a 6.4-inch display, and has a screen-to-body ratio of 91.3%. The Xiaomi Mi MIX is not exactly a cheap phone, but it does offer quite a lot in terms of the design and specs if you’d like to get one, even though it’s officially only available in China.
That being said, many people wondered why is the Mi MIX so large, such thin bezels do make it seem like it’s smaller, but it’s still a large device, you can only do so much when it comes to a 6.4-inch display. Well, it is possible Xiaomi is working on a smaller variant of the Mi MIX. According to a new leak, the company is working on a 5.5-inch variant of the Xiaomi Mi MIX which will also be fueled by the Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core SoC, and it will ship with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, at least allegedly. This phone is called the Xiaomi Mi MIX Nano, and it is also expected to come with over 90% screen-to-body ratio, just like its larger sibling. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see this smartphone, though the images are quite dark so we don’t really get to see all that many details here. If the rumor is to be believed, the Xiaomi Mi MIX Nano will cost 2,999 Yuan ($436) in China, though we still don’t know whether the phone will be launched only in China, or is Xiaomi actually planning to release a global variant as well.
For comparison’s sake, the Xiaomi Mi MIX sports a 6.4-inch 2040 x 1080 display, 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 821 SoC, and it sports a 16-megapixel camera on the back. Xiaomi has included a 4,400mAh battery here, and the phone is made out of ceramic and glass, and chances are the Xiaomi Mi MIX Nano will sport the same build, but smaller form factor.
