Xiaomi had managed to surprise quite a few people back in October when the company introduced their ‘concept’ smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi MIX. This handset was launched alongside the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and is quite interesting for a couple of reasons, mainly due to its 91.3% screen-to-body ratio, though. The phone also comes with an unorthodox earpiece sound technology, and is made out of ceramic. Having that in mind, it seems like Huawei is planning to release their very own concept smartphone soon, read on.
The company released a teaser a couple of days ago confirming that they’ll launch a new smartphone on December 16th, and they even included their upcoming phone in said teaser, but the image was too dark to confirm this is the concept phone everyone is talking about. Well, the alleged device surfaced yesterday in a real life image, and if this leak is accurate, Huawei’s upcoming Honor Magic smartphone will be a really sleek-looking piece of tech. The phone will launch under Huawei’s Honor sub-brand, and some new info just surfaced. A China-based analyst, Pan Jiutang, confirmed that the Honor Magic will launch on December 16th, and he also added that the device will bring innovative features and design to the table. Unfortunately, though, he also said that the phone will be quite expensive, more expensive than most people are expecting. In addition to all this, he said that the phone will be quite pocketable, small even, due to its thin bezels, and that it will have a good grip.
Now, this smartphone might not have the mind-blowing specifications some of you are expecting, Mr. Jiutang says. The Honor Magic will not sport a screen larger than 5.5-inches, and we still don’t know what materials did Honor use to build this smartphone, but we will find out next Friday, as the device will launch on December 16th, as already mentioned. Chances are that this device will be available in limited quantities, and some rumors are suggesting that Honor plans to ship peripherals with the phone because it might not sport a 3.5mm headphone jack, and will also ship with no physical keys, if those rumors are to be believed. All in all, stay tuned, chances are we’ll see more info about this smartphone before it launches.
