Well, those of you who like horror adventure games might be interested in hearing about the game that we’ve stumbled upon quite recently. We’ll talk about a game called ‘DISTRAINT: Pocket Pixel Horror’ today, a horror game that is kind of different than many other titles out there, so if you’re interested, read on.
This game is actually available on both PC and Android, and it launched on PC first. Those of you who would like to get a PC version of DISTRAINT: Pocket Pixel Horror, you can do so through Steam as we speak. Anyhow, the two versions are quite similar, but there are some differences, for practical reasons, the lantern from the PC version has been removed on Android, and instead, the developer had opted to expand environmental lighting. Now, this will make more sense in just a minute. This is a 2D psychological horror game, and it’s quite dark, so you need some light to come into play, which is why we talked about it just a moment ago. Anyhow, in this game, you’ll be playing as a young man called Price. Now, due to your ambition, you’re trying to forge a partnership with a famous company, and in order to do that, you acquire a mysterious property from an elderly woman. This is essentially a story of Price’s regrets, and the game is quite immersive despite the fact the graphics are not exactly up to date with today’s standards.
The gameplay is accompanied by rather creepy music, which fits in perfectly here, and makes the whole experience quite enjoyable and atmospheric. Now, as far as gameplay is concerned, this is a 2D game, and you’ll be moving right and left in order to save various puzzles and progress through the story. The game’s interface is also quite minimalistic, and the story is an important part of the experience, of course. The game is free to play it seems, though you can make a single in-app purchase in order to remove ads.
