The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)’s announcement is right around the corner, and some press renders and specs have just surfaced. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see the alleged Galaxy A5 (2017) in four color variants, Pink, Black, Blue and Gold. As you can see, the device has curved edges, and its side bezels are not all that thick, while the general form factor is similar to other Galaxy-branded devices already available out there. The physical home button is still present here, and it will double as a fingerprint scanner as well, as it does on other Galaxy-branded devices.
If the leaked info is to be believed, the Galaxy A5 (2017) will sport a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The phone will be fueled by Samsung’s Exynos 7880 64-bit octa-core processor running at 1.8GHz, along with the Mali-T860 MP4 GPU for graphics. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the device, along with the company’s custom UI which will be installed on top of Google’s OS, of course. The 16-megapixel snapper will be placed on both the back and front sides of this smartphone, though the rear-facing camera will probably be far more capable, as we’re expecting the company to include a better sensor on the back of the device. The 3,000mAh battery will be included here as well, and fast charging will, almost certainly, also be a part of the package. The Galaxy A5 (2017) will offer 4G LTE connectivity with VoLTE, and a Type-C USB port will be placed on the bottom of this smartphone. The Galaxy A5 (2017) will measure 145 x 71 x 7.8mm, if the source is to be believed.
This smartphone will be made out of metal, and if the previous info is to be believed, it will launch next month, along with some other Galaxy A-branded smartphones (Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A7). This is definitely not the first time that we’re seeing the Galaxy A5 (2017) info floating around, the phone has been leaking for quite some time now, and it seems quite apparent that it will launch next month, though we still don’t know when exactly.
