Leak: Image Surfaces Of What May Be The Honor Magic

Huawei’s Honor brand has an upcoming concept phone called the Honor Magic, and it seems that the phone may have just leaked in an image online, providing the first real look at the design of the phone if the image is indeed of the Honor Magic. The concept phone was first initially rumored to be launching yesterday, December 7th, and as of now it seems that Honor is looking to hold their event on December 16th and announce the phone at this later date instead at the company’s China-based event.

Although the Honor Magic will be a concept phone, it won’t necessarily be a concept in the traditional sense as it will be available for consumers to buy, although it likely won’t be available outside of China. This is also not too unlike what Xiaomi has done with the Mi MIX, a concept device of their own which features some extremely thin bezels paired with a fairly large display. Based on the image that was leaked this afternoon for the Honor Magic, it would seem that Honor has gone with a similar almost bezel-free design, although there are differences, as the slim bezels are only on the sides of the device, while there are still bezels existing above and below the screen. These bezels are still fairly small though in comparison to many other smartphones out there, which certainly adds to the allure of the phone’s design.

Aside from the bezels, the only other thing that can be picked up from the image is that Honor has employed a fingerprint scanner on the device as the image is displaying this particular function in use, and while it looks like there may be a front-facing camera up in the top bezel of the phone, previous rumors have stated that the phone will not have an integrated camera, so it’s possible that this is the earpiece with which will be used to listen in for voice calls. It’s also unclear if Honor will launch the device in more than one color, but based on the image the Honor Magic will be coming in at least Blue. Honor’s event is scheduled for the end of next week, so more details could be available leading up to the event.
