Samsung had introduced quite a few smartphones this year, including a couple of Galaxy C-branded smartphones, which are mainly aimed at the Chinese smartphone market. The company had introduced the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 back in May, while the Galaxy C9 Pro arrived back in October. One would think that Samsung has no plans to release additional ‘Galaxy C’ smartphones anytime soon, but it seems like new Galaxy C-branded devices could launch in the next couple of months. Earlier reports suggested that the Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro could arrive before the end of this month, but it seems like that won’t be the case.
According to a new report that surfaced in China, the Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro will land in January, not in December. Now, do keep in mind that this is just a wild rumor at this point, there’s not proof to back it up, but it makes sense, mainly because the company is expected to release the next-gen Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A9 handsets before the end of this month, so their schedule is already kind of full. Now, regarding the Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro handsets, they’re expected to look the same as the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 devices that are available already, but their internals will be slightly different. The Galaxy C5 Pro is expected to sport a 5.2-inch fullHD Super AMOLED display, while the Galaxy C7 Pro will probably feature a 5.7-inch fullHD Super AMOLED panel. Both devices will, allegedly, ship with the Snapdragon 626 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera (f/1.7 aperture), which is an improvement over f/1.9 aperture you’ll find in the non-Pro variants. The Galaxy C7 Pro is also expected to sport 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, while Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the device with Samsung’s custom UI.
Both of these smartphones will be made out of metal, and the company’s physical home button will be placed below the display on each of these phones. Samsung will also include fingerprint scanner modules inside of the home buttons, and that is more or less all the info that we have at the moment.
