It is December now and that means that 2017 is only a stone’s throw away. That also means that a number of rumors are due to start mounting about what smartphones should be expected in 2017 and what specs and features those smartphones should be expected to come sporting. In fact, when it comes to the Samsung Galaxy S8, the rumors and speculation is already aplenty. Now, it seems it is time for some HTC 11 talk. Although to be fair, this is not the first HTC 11 rumor to come through, as many do already largely associate the rumored ‘HTC Ocean‘ to be the HTC 11.
Either way and according to the latest information, the main specs of the HTC 11 are already known. Therefore, the HTC 11 is said to come sporting a 5.5-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. Inside, the HTC 11 will come powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, along with an Adreno 540 GPU. Cameras on offer are said to include a dual rear camera setup (which includes dual 12-megapixel cameras), along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. While the battery is said to be 3,700 mAh and will support Quick Charge 4.0. As you might expect, Android 7.0 (Nougat) is said to be the operating system flavor of choice, albeit with HTC Sense UI over the top. Although, that is not all. What is likely to be the headline selling points with this smartphone is the RAM and the storage. As the tipster has the HTC 11 coming loaded with an almighty 8GB RAM, along with 256GB internal storage. In fact, the tipster even suggests that the HTC 11 will likely hit the market priced at £550 in the UK. Which currently translates to just over $690 in US terms.
Of course, this is not only a rumor at the moment, but is a very early one at that. In terms of the source, the rumor is said to have come from a user on Weibo and is always the case with any unsubstantiated rumors, caution should be taken with these numbers. Although, some of these features are very much likely to be included with the HTC 11, as well many of the other flagship smartphones of 2017. A prime example being the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. What will be of interest though, is whether the next HTC major flagship is indeed put forward as a power-hungry device. If it is the case that the HTC 11 does come sporting the said level of RAM, the SD835 and that level of internal storage, this will be a very powerful and competitive device in 2017. Last but not least, the picture above is said to be the HTC 11.
