Earlier today Honor announced the launch of its latest smartphone to reach the US and Europe, the Honor 6X. This is a smartphone that had been already launched in China, although now it is seeing the light in other regions as well. While this is a smartphone that comes packing some fairly good specs, what is likely to be one of its biggest selling points for many is the price. As Honor has confirmed that the Honor 6X will be available to buy in the US for $250, in the UK for £225 and in Europe for €250.
Following the main announcement and press event, we were able to get a closer look at the Honor 6X. If you are keen to just check out the images of this new Honor smartphone then you can jump straight down to the gallery below. If you need a quick reminder on what is on offer with the Honor 6X, then the big draw is the fact that it comes equipped with a dual-camera setup on the back. Here you will find a main 12-megapixel camera which comes accompanied by a 2-megapixel sensor. As well as all the usual features you might expect including phase detection autofocus and an LED flash. While the front-facing option comes in an 8-megapixel form. So it is clear that cameras are going to be one of the reasons as to why you might want to consider picking this smartphone up and especially at this price.
Cameras aside though and the Honor 6X offers a 5.5-inch display which makes use of a FullHD resolution. Inside, this is a smartphone that comes packing 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and is powered by a Kirin 655 octa-core processor. Although, it is worth noting that there will be an even more premium version available that comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, although this one will evidently be priced at a higher price when it becomes available. Additional features on offer include microSD card support, a fingerprint sensor, a 3,340 mAh battery and Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) – by way of EMUI 4.1. As a quick recap for those thinking of picking one up, pre-orders for the Honor 6X open today and the smartphone is due to go on general sale starting Jan. 15.
