The Galaxy S8 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of this year, and according to the latest report, this phone will launch on April 18th. We’ve seen a ton of rumors thus far suggesting that the device will launch in February, March or April, so it’s not exactly a surprise we’re still unsure when is Samsung planning to unveil their new flagship. Well, this new report suggests that the company had already decided when will they drop the Galaxy S8, and April 18th seems to be the date, as Samsung is allegedly planning to host a separate event.
The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge handsets were introduced during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona last year, and it seems like Samsung plans to organize a separate event this time around, either because they don’t want other products to distract possible customers, or because they want to make sure that the Galaxy Note 7-like fiasco doesn’t occur yet again. Now, this new report actually goes hand-in-hand with a recent rumor which surfaced, that rumor suggested that the company plans to start mass producing the Galaxy S8 in March, so it seems like April could be an ideal time for Samsung to unveil the Galaxy S8, especially if they plan to start selling the device right away. Speaking of which, the company is allegedly preparing to manufacture 10 million Galaxy S8 units for April, which could also suggest that April is the chosen month by Samsung.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 will, allegedly, come in two variants, Samsung will reportedly release the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus handsets. The Galaxy S8 will sport a curved display, and the Galaxy S8 Plus as well, probably, and it might even ship with the S Pen stylus if rumors are to be believed. Samsung is reportedly planning to use two SoCs in their Galaxy S8 devices, in some regions the Galaxy S8 will ship with the Snapdragon 835, while in other Samsung plans to utilize their very own Exynos 8895 SoC. The phone will, allegedly, ship without a home button, and the device actually leaked quite recently, both in renders and real life images.
