The Meizu PRO 7 is Meizu’s upcoming flagship, and some new info regarding this phone just popped up. A number of Meizu PRO 7 images surfaced earlier today, and they not only give us a look at the alleged Meizu PRO 7, but we also get to check out some of its specifications. First and foremost, it is worth mentioning that this could be a leak of Meizu’s official marketing material, as these images resemble the company’s usual promo shots for their devices.
The device that is shown off in these images actually looks like the Meizu PRO 6 and PRO 6s, at least from its back side, as we do not get to check out the front side of the device considering not a single image gives us a good look at the phone’s front side. In any case, if the leaked info is to be believed, the Meizu PRO 7 will be made out of a titanium alloy which should replace aluminum, and needless to say, we’re looking at a much tougher material here. The device will, if the leaked info is to be believed, sport a 5.7-inch 4K display, and a 12-megapixel snapper on the back. If the leaked info is to be believed, we’re looking at Sony’s IMX362 sensor here, which comes with a 1.4um pixel size. Needless to say, this is a really capable camera sensor and with the right software, it could be quite compelling. In addition to that, the leaked materials suggest that the Meizu PRO 7 will sport 4GB / 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Meizu PRO 7 is expected to ship with MediaTek’s Helio X30 64-bit deca-core processor.
Now, these images do seem official, but do keep in mind this is just a leak at this point, and nothing has been confirmed just yet. Meizu is expected to introduce the Meizu PRO 7 in the first half of this year, and if they stick to their release cycle from last year, then the device might land in April. The 8GB RAM variant of the Meizu PRO 7 will cost 3,799 Yuan ($552) if today’s leaked info is to be believed, though, unfortunately, no info surfaced regarding 4GB and 6GB RAM models.
