Take a Tour of The White House in 360-Degrees

If you’ve ever wondered what the inside of The White House looks like, the Obama administration has just made it possible for everyone to experience it without having to travel to Washington DC. Today, The White House published a new video on their Facebook page, it’s a 360-degree video which you can watch in the browser or in a VR headset like the Gear VR. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama take you on a tour of The White House, and since it is in 360-degrees, you can actually take a look around and it makes you feel like you are actually there, on a tour with the Obama’s.

The video is under 10 minutes long, and you get the opportunity to tour The White House, a place where so much history has happened. This includes seeing the Oval Office, the Situation Room and many other rooms where important decisions made and meetings held. The video was created by Felix & Paul Studios with Oculus’ help. So the video will work rather well in the Oculus Rift and the Gear VR, seeing as the company has made both of those VR headsets. And it makes sense as to why the video was posted on Facebook, rather than on YouTube and other platforms.

Throughout Obama’s presidency, he has been working to get young people involved. He was the first president to get into social media, and to actively use Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other platforms to not only communicate with Americans, but to also live stream different events from The White House, and even his farewell speech from Chicago earlier this week. This is likely going to continue under President Trump when he takes office next Friday, but it is nice to see Barack and Michelle Obama put together one last video for everyone to enjoy, and touring the White House is pretty special in its own right. If you’re interested in touring the White House, you can hit the source link below and check out the video yourself. Of course, it is better to watch in a VR headset like the Gear VR, if you have one available.
