The Vivo V5 Plus was somewhat of a mystery over the last couple of weeks, its smaller sibling, the Vivo V5, got announced back in November, but we did not know what to expect out of the Vivo V5 Plus. Well, most of the phone’s specs just leaked, which gives us a far better look at Vivo’s upcoming handset. We knew that the Vivo V5 Plus will resemble the Vivo V5 in terms of the design, and we have expected it to sport a somewhat more powerful specs sheet. Well, it turns out such expectations were spot on, let’s see what will the Vivo V5 Plus have to offer, shall we.
According to the leaked info, the phone will sport a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 3,300mAh battery (Qualcomm’s Quick Charge included) will be included in this package as well. Interestingly enough, this handset will sport two cameras up front, a 20-megapixel shooter, and an 8-megapixel snapper. The leaked info says that a 20-megapixel camera will come with Sony’s IMX376 sensor (f/2.0 aperture), but we still don’t know what sensor will Vivo use for the other front-facing snapper. Unfortunately, we still don’t know what camera will the Vivo V5 Plus sport on its back either, but chances are more info will leak in the coming days.
If the leaked info is to be believed, the Vivo V5 Plus will look identical to the Vivo V5, except for the fact it will be bigger. This means that it will be made out of metal, and that it will come with a home button below its display. Its power / lock and volume rocker physical keys will be placed on the right-hand side of its shell, and the SIM card tray will be available on the left. As you can see on the provided image down below, Stephen Curry will actually be Vivo’s ambassador for this smartphone, at least according to this image. Vivo actually teased the arrival of the Vivo V5 Plus yesterday, and more or less confirmed that the phone will come with two front-facing cameras, both of which have leaked today. The device will be announced in India, just like the Vivo V5, though we’ll have to wait for a couple of more weeks for Vivo to announce it.
