Vivo is about to launch the Vivo V5 Plus in India. The company has confirmed via an official teaser that the Vivo V5 Plus will be announced in India on January 23rd, following the announcement of its sibling, the Vivo V5, which was introduced in the country back in November. If you take a look at the provided image (above), you’ll get to see the company’s teaser, and it clearly confirms that the Vivo V5 Plus is on its way, not only does it say ‘V5 Plus’ on the teaser itself, but it also puts in focus two cameras, and this smartphone is going to sport two front-facing shooters.
The Vivo V5 Plus will not be the first smartphone to sport two front-facing cameras, both Lenovo and LG actually already introduced such smartphones. Lenovo introduced their handset with two front-facing cameras back in September 2015, the Lenovo S1, which sported 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel front-facing shooters. LG, on the other hand, brought to the market the LG V10 which came with two 5-megapixel snappers up front, one regular camera with an 80-degree lens, and a wide-angle camera (120-degree lens). The Vivo V5 Plus is expected to ship with a somewhat more powerful specs than its sibling, the Vivo V5, which features a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, 4GB of RAM and a 3,000mAh battery. The Vivo V5 is fueled by an octa-core SoC running at 1.5GHz, and it comes with a 13-megapixel rear-facing shooter, and a 20-megapixel front-facing camera.
We still do not know that exactly to expect from the Vivo V5 Plus in the specs department, but we do presume that its specifications will be slightly more powerful than those you can find on the Vivo V5. This essentially means that the Vivo V5 Plus will probably be a really solid mid-range smartphone, it will probably ship with 4GB of RAM and a mid-to-high-end processor. Two front-facing cameras are a given, as the company more or less confirmed that, and the V5 Plus will probably ship with a fullHD display as well, compared to the HD panel on the Vivo V5. Stay tuned, chances are we’ll find out what specs will this phone sport before it launches, as we do expect a detailed leak to pop up in the following days.
