Xiaomi India Sold Over 250,000 Redmi Note 4s In 10 Minutes

Xiaomi had managed to sell over 250,000 Redmi Note 4 smartphones in India in only 10 minutes. The company had introduced their well-known mid-ranger in India less than a week ago, and they’ve hosted the first flash sale quite recently. It seems like quite a few people were interested in the device considering how many units perished in only 10 minutes, and Xiaomi is referring to this sale as the ‘biggest smartphone sale in the history of India’. Consumers were able to purchase the device through the company’s official website (Mi.com) and through Flipkart, one of the country’s largest retailers.

These numbers reveal that the Redmi Note 4 was in much higher demand than the Redmi 3s and Redmi Note 3 were back when they first went on sale in the country. Xiaomi will hold the second flash sale of the device on Monday, January 30th, and this time around the phone will be available through Flipkart only. The company will also offer the device through Mi.com, but on February 3rd, in case you were wondering. Now, if Flipkart is to be believed, not all variants of the phone will be available on January 30th, only the 3GB RAM (+32GB of storage) and 4GB RAM (+64GB of storage) models in Dark Gray and Gold colors will become available next week. The Matte Black model of the device will also become available soon, but not before the third week of next month, according to Xiaomi. The 2GB RAM variant of the device was also introduced in the country, and that model will go on sale next Friday, and it will be available through Mi.com.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is a metal-clad smartphone which sports three capacitive buttons below the display, and a fingerprint scanner on its back. This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core SoC, while it ships with a 4,100mAh battery. A 13-megapixel snapper can be found on the back of this smartphone, while a 5-megapixel unit is placed on its front side. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Redmi Note 4 with the company’s MIUI 8 OS available on top of it. The phone comes in 2GB, 3GB and 4GB RAM variants with either 32GB or 64GB of storage, the first two RAM variants come with 32GB of internal storage, while the latter one features 64GB of native storage.
