Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Coming To India On January 19th

Xiaomi has just confirmed that the Redmi Note 4 is coming to India. The company has shared an official image for the Redmi Note 4’s launch in India through their Twitter account, and this is more of a straightforward confirmation that the Redmi Note 4 is coming, rather than a teaser image. The company has also confirmed that the phone will launch in India on January 19th, so those of you who are interested in the device, and live in India, it might be a good idea to get ready for the said date.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was first launched on the company’s official site and Amazon India, while other retailers got access to the device later on. Well, it seems like things could be somewhat different when it comes to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, as Flipkart teased that the device will be exclusively available (as far as retailers are concerned) from them, which is quite interesting. The phone will also be available for purchase directly from Mi.com, though that was to be expected. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was originally announced by Xiaomi in China back in August last year, and this is the company’s mid-ranger which is quite powerful, and yet quite affordable at the same time. Now, the Indian variant of the phone will be almost identical to the Chinese one, though there is one significant difference, the Indian variant will ship with a Snapdragon SoC instead of MediaTek’s Helio X20 which comes with the Chinese version of the device.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 64GB of expandable native storage. The Indian variant of the device will be fueled by an unknown Snapdragon SoC, but you can expect to see one of Qualcomm’s mid-range SoCs here. The device features a 13-megapixel shooter on its back, while a 5-megapixel snapper can be found on its front side. The 4,100mAh battery is also a part of the Redmi Note 4 package, and the fingerprint scanner is placed on the back of this metal-clad smartphone. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Redmi Note 4, and on top of it, you get Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 OS. The Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 4 comes with two SIM card slots, and you can expect the same to be the case with the Indian variant as well.
