It's Always Sunny Partners With Jaunt For 'Project Badass'

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has partnered with Jaunt for Project Badass, a new virtual reality experience that puts you in the middle of a crazy stunt that’s being put together by the main cast of characters from the show. Project Badass is viewed as if you were part of the show itself as the cast is actually in character likely making this a nice little treat for those who have been long-time fans of the series.

The entire experience is comprised mostly of the same type of antics and lead-up that can be seen in just about every episode of the show, where the gang talks about something they’ll end up doing but things ultimately get drawn out by a collective of hilarious jokes and banter before finally getting to the action. While the experience is best viewed in a VR headset if you have a compatible viewer to use, like Google Cardboard or something similar, say a Daydream View, you can also watch Project Badass on YouTube either in the Android app or even on the desktop as the video was filmed in 360-degrees. This means you can either twist your phone around to view the different angles of the video that were shot by the cameras, or you can simply click and drag your mouse on the video if you’re watching on a desktop.

If you have a Daydream View and a Daydream-compatible smartphone, this might be the best experience thanks to the availability of the YouTube VR app that’s available for the platform. Since this was created in partnership with jaunt, users can also view it directly in the Jaunt VR app that can be downloaded and installed on devices, so there are really quite a few ways to view Project Badass if you’re interested. The video is just a few minutes long which seems to be about standard with these kinds of VR experiences, and it feels a lot like an interactive ad spot for the show. It’s also just the latest VR experience to be released which aims to provide a unique look at a popular franchise that ties in TV and film.
