The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 just surfaced yet again, this time on Geekbench. Some of you might recall that this device received its Wi-Fi certification about three weeks ago, and now we get to take a look at some of its specs and benchmarking results thanks to Geekbench. Now, the Galaxy Xcover 4 will be a direct successor to the Galaxy Xcover 3, and it’s about time Samsung unveils it, as it has been almost two years since the Galaxy Xcover 3 landed. In any case, let’s see what to expect from the Galaxy Xcover 4, read on.
The Samsung SM-G390F surfaced on Geekbench, and this is the Galaxy Xcover 4, judging by its model number, of course. The device managed to score 599 points in the single-core, and 1,734 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench. According to the source, the Galaxy Xcover 4 will be fueled by the Exynos 7570, which is Samsung’s quad-core SoC, and it ships with four Cortex-A53 cores, and the Mali-T720 GPU for graphics. In addition to that, this SoC offers support for Cat. 4 LTE 2CA model. Interestingly enough, the Galaxy Xcover 4 will be the first smartphone to ship with this processor, so we don’t exactly know what to expect in terms of performance. Geekbench also says that the phone will sport 2GB of RAM and that it will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, while the company’s custom UI will be installed on top of Google’s operating system, of course.
Geekbench does not share any additional spec info, unfortunately, but the Exynos 7570 supports displays up to 720p in resolution, so this smartphone will almost certainly ship with an HD panel. As you can see, the Galaxy Xcover 4 could be a part of Samsung’s budget lineup, and we can consider it to be an entry-level smartphone, as there are quite a few more powerful Galaxy-branded smartphones out there which are considered to be mid-rangers, and judging by the provided info, the Galaxy Xcover 4 will be a level below those phones. This smartphone is expected to land in the near future, and it will probably be quite affordable, stay tuned, more info will probably surface soon.
