The ZTE Blade V8 Mini and Blade V8 Lite have become official during this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. ZTE actually introduced these two smartphones earlier today, and we’re looking at two mid-range metal-clad devices. That being said, we’ve managed to get our hands on both of these devices at ZTE’s booth in Barcelona, and if you’d like to check them out, feel free to check out the gallery down below.
The ZTE Blade V8 Mini and Blade V8 Lite won’t appeal to those of you who are looking for high-end devices, but if you’re in a market to get a solid, budget smartphone which offers really good build quality, well, one of these two devices might be perfect for you. The Blade V8 Mini and Blade V8 Lite are quite similar in terms of the design, but they’re actually rather different in some other aspects. The Blade V8 Mini, for example, offers a dual camera setup on its back, while the Blade V8 Lite comes with ‘only’ one main camera. Now, interestingly enough, both of these devices ship with Android 7.0 Nougat with ZTE’s custom UI on top of it, both sport a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, and their RAM and storage counts are also identical, both ship with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage.
The ZTE Blade V8 Mini is fueled by the Snapdragon 435 64-bit octa-core SoC which is clocked at 1.4GHz, and this phone comes with a 2,800mAh battery which is not removable. 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel snapper lie on its back, while you’ll be able to find a 5-megapixel camera on the front side of this smartphone. Now, the Blade V8 Lite, on the other hand, comes with MediaTek’s MT6750 64-bit octa-core SoC, and ships with a 2,500mAh battery, and this battery pack is also not removable. An 8-megapixel snapper can be found on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel camera is placed on its front side. Both of these phones feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, and both support 4G LTE connectivity. That is pretty much it, all of our hands-on images are included in the gallery down below.
