Honor V9 Surfaces On TENAA, Rumored To Launch At MWC 2017

The Honor V9 has just surfaced on TENAA, China’s certification body. The Honor V9 will be a successor to the Honor V8 that launched back in May last year, and this is actually the second variant of the device that we’ve seen on TENAA in the last month or so. At the end of January, China Mobile’s variant popped up with 6GB of RAM on the inside, and today’s variant actually comes with 4GB of RAM and doesn’t seem to be branded by one of the Chinese carriers, while the source also claims that the phone could be announced during the Mobile World Congress (MWC).

As many of you know by now, this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona will kick off at the end of this month, and it would be interesting to see the Honor V9 there, mainly because its predecessor was made mainly for the Asian market. Is Honor planning to push the Honor V9 in a number of markets around the world, including Europe? Well, we’ll find out at the Mobile World Congress, and until then, let’s see what this phone has to offer in terms of specs and the design. As you can see in the provided images, the Honor V9 is made out of metal, and it comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. This smartphone also sports two camera sensors on the back, which are flanked by an LED flash. The company’s branding can be found below this device’s display, and also on the back of the device.

The Honor V9 will sport a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, while it will ship with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of native storage. Do keep in mind that the variant we’ll talking about today actually comes with 4GB of RAM, so there’s a chance only one of the two variants could become available outside of China, but those are only rumors at this point. The Honor V9 will be fueled by an octa-core SoC clocked at 2.4GHz, and a 3,900mAh battery will also be included in this package. A 12-megapixel main camera will be placed on the back of the phone, and will be helped by a secondary 2-megapixel shooter, while an 8-megapixel selfie shooter is also a part of this equation. Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on the Honor V9, and Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.0 skin will come pre-installed on top of Google’s OS.
