The upcoming Moto G5 smartphone has just surfaced on Geekbench. The listing itself says this is the “motorola Moto G (5)”, which more or less confirms it. The device that surfaced on Geekbench is actually fueled by the Snapdragon 430 64-bit octa-core processor, which is Qualcomm’s entry-level chip, and it fits perfectly with the recently leaked promo images which shared Moto G5’s specifications, and in both cases the device is fueled by the aforementioned processor.
Now, according to Geekbench, the Moto G5 will ship with 2GB of RAM and Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. You will get some of Moto’s apps here, which will come pre-installed, but chances are this will be a nearly stock experience as far as software is concerned. The Moto G5 managed to score 594 points in the single-core, and 2,350 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench. The Moto G5 will be quite an affordable smartphone, and will be inferior to its larger sibling, the Moto G5 Plus. The Moto G5 is expected to land alongside the Moto G5 Plus on February 26th during Motorola’s / Lenovo’s MWC press conference, and thanks to the press images that leaked recently, we have quite a bit of info when this smartphone is concerned.
The Moto G5 will be made out of metal, and it will be quite compact due to its relatively small display. This smartphone will sport a 5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 430 running at 1.4GHz, and a 13-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of this phone. A 5-megapixel camera will be placed on the front side of the Moto G5, and a 2,800mAh battery will also be a part of this package. This battery will support fast charging, and the Moto G5 will ship in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold color variants. The device will measure 144.3 x 73 x 9.5mm, while it will weigh 145 grams. That is more or less all the info that we have when it comes to the Moto G5, though the device will be announced soon and remove all doubt, stay tuned.
