There are four Nokia-branded smartphones currently be showcased at MWC 2017. One of which is an updated and modern version of the Nokia 3310. The remaining three are best thought of as different variants of the same smartphone, in spite of them being different smartphones. They are the Nokia 3, the Nokia 5 and the Nokia 6. In terms of the Nokia 3, this is essentially the entry-level option and is the most affordable of the three. Although, all three of the new Nokia smartphones are designed to be affordable in general.
On offer here is a smartphone which adopts more of a classic smartphone look, so like the rest of the new Nokia phones, you won’t find any unique, clever, or novel design traits. This is a straight up smartphone with a straight up smartphone look. While the higher up Nokia phones come boasting a metal build, the Nokia 3 comes with a polycarbonate body. Although the general look and presentation is still in line with the other smartphones. The back is largely an uneventful affair with not much happening besides the Nokia branding and the included 8-megapixel rear camera. While on the front of the device, you will find a 5-inch display which comes boasting a 1280 x 720 resolution. Along with the top-positioned 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Bezels are in effect and the bottom section is where you will find a typical Android button arrangement. As such, there is nothing too major here to note in terms of the design. Although that does seem to be the point.
In terms of the rest of the specs, the Nokia 3 comes packing 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor. In addition you can expect to find a 2,650 mAh battery, a 3.5 mm headphone port, a standard microUSB port, microSD card support for storage expansion, and Android 7.0 (Nougat). So although this is not only from an affordable range of smartphones, but also the most affordable of that range, it is still a smartphone which comes with a fairly decent spec list, as well as a nice build quality and design. Which you can check out in more detail in the images below.
