The Moto G5 has been shown off in a few new leaked images this afternoon showcasing even more of the phone than what’s been seen up til now. That being said, the Moto G5 has already leaked a number of times in recent weeks in other live images as well as press and promotional renders so there isn’t much left to the imagination about the device that Moto and Lenovo are expected to announce at Mobile World Congress within the next week. The leaks do however lend more credence to the past leaks as well as specifications as there is at least some specification info listed here.
While the design itself is nothing that hasn’t already been seen in the previous leaked images, there are a couple of screenshots that show off the device’s “about phone” menu, and although the language is set to Spanish, you can make out the name of the device which is listed as the Moto G5, and you can also make out the Android version which is listed as Android 7.0 Nougat. Other than those two details there isn’t much else to see it looks like in terms of information from the images themselves.
In the images you can clearly see the fingerprint sensor on the front which as stated in previous posts is more rounded this time around as opposed to having the square-shaped fingerprint sensor that can be found on the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. It’s also been stated with this leak that the Moto G5 has a removable back cover that’s made of metal, and in addition to the back cover being removable the battery is stated as being removable as well. Users should expect the Moto G5 Plus to have a removable back cover and battery since the design of each device is the same, and the only things that should be different between the two are a few of the hardware specifications such as the screen size, and the amounts of RAM. Moto and Lenovo are expected to announce the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus within the next week during their Mobile World Congress press conference.
