A new image of the Xiaomi Mi 6 has just surfaced. This time around we get to take a look at a real life image of the Xiaomi Mi 6, and this picture differentiates than the ones we’ve seen in the last couple of weeks. If you take a look at the provided shot, you’ll notice that this phone resembles the Xiaomi Mi 5 quite a bit, truth be told, it is possible that this is a photoshopped image of the Xiaomi Mi 5’s back, with a re-arranged LED flash and an added camera, as the back side looks identical to the one on the Xiaomi Mi 5, and so does a camera sensor, though there are two of them here.
Now, for the sake of this leak, let’s assume that this is, in fact, an upcoming smartphone, and that it only resembles the Xiaomi Mi 5, which is possible. The device looks quite compact in hand, and Xiaomi’s logo is placed in the lower portion of its back side. The back of this device is made out of glass, just like it was on the Xiaomi Mi 5, though rumors are saying that a ceramic variant will also be available. The Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to land on April 11th, at least according to the latest report, and the company already teased its processor, the other day Xiaomi re-shared Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 post and indirectly confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be fueled by that chip. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will come with Android Nougat out of the box, with the company’s MIUI 8 OS on top of it.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 will pack in 4GB or 6GB of RAM on the inside, depending on the variant, at least if the rumors / leaks are to be believed. The device will reportedly come in two variants, the base Xiaomi Mi 6 model, and the ‘Plus’ variant which will, allegedly, come with a larger display, and more RAM. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will sport a physical home button below the display, at least some recent leaks suggested it will, and that button will also serve as a fingerprint scanner. That’s more or less it, it remains to be seen if the device will launch on April 11th or not, so stay tuned.
