Xiaomi Mi 6 leaks seem to keep on coming. Most recently, a full specification sheet of the two possible Xiaomi Mi 6 variants was leaked online. The specification sheet contains information about the Xiaomi Mi 6 and its larger brother, the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, highlighting some of the differences between the two upcoming smartphones. First is the display size, with the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus having a larger 5.7 inch full HD display, as opposed to 5.15 inch full HD display of the Xiaomi Mi 6. The Plus variant will have 6 GB of RAM and a choice between 64 and 128 GB UFS 2.0 storage, while the smaller Xiaomi Mi 6 may contain either 4 or 6 GB of RAM and a storage capacity of either 32, 64 or 128 GB of UFS 2.0 storage.
Another major difference is the choice of cameras, with the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus sporting a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 dual camera setup and the Xiaomi Mi 6 having a single rear camera setup comprised of a 19-megapixel Sony IMX400 sensor. The larger phone, the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus variant, will also have a larger 4,500 mAh battery compared to the 3,200 mAh battery inside of the Xiaomi Mi 6, and both batteries will be embedded and therefore non-removable. Both of the phones will have MIUI 8 which is Xiaomi’s latest version of their software OS running on top of Google’s Android OS, though each device is rumored to have a different Android version, with Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus running Android 7.0 Nougat and the smaller Xiaomi Mi 6 running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Both of the phones will be powered by Snapdragon 835, sport an 8-megapixel front camera, have dual nano-SIM slots and will be carrier unlocked where available.
Xiaomi will likely announce the Xiaomi Mi 6 and the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus on either April 11th or April 16th. Previous leaks have already shown some similarities between the Xiaomi Mi 6 variants and last year’s Xiaomi Mi 5 when it comes to external features, such as a rumored fingerprint scanner in the front on both of the new phones. The chassis of the Xiaomi Mi 6 is rumored to be made of metal and glass though it was also leaked that a more expensive ceramic variant may also become available. A render also showed the Xiaomi Mi 6 in white, sporting dual cameras at the back. None of the specs have yet been confirmed, but it might be too much longer before Xiaomi unveils both devices and makes all of the official hardware information public.
