Fossil To Launch 300+ Smartwatches In 2017, Across 14 Brands

Fossil has just announced that they’ll launch 300 hybrid and touchscreen watch styles across 14 brands this year. Fossil did say a while back that they’re committed to releasing new products, but this is… well, unexpected, mainly because of the sheer number of promised products. Fossil is actually showing off their latest designs at its European Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, during Baselworld, which is the world’s leading watch and jewelry fair, just in case you’re nearby.

“Many of our brands that first entered the wearables space less than a year ago are now branching out with new styles, colors and types of wearables, all showcasing the perfect fusion of fashion and technology,” said Greg McKelvey, Fossil’s Chief Strategy and Digital Officer. Now, since Fossil launched their first smartwatch back in Fall 2015, the company has released over 150 touchscreen smartwatches, hybrid smartwatches and activity trackers in 40 countries and in 20 languages through brands such as Chaps, Diesel, Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange, Fossil, kate spade new york, Michael Kors, Misfit and Skagen. Now, Fossil will introduce products for some new brands that will enter the wearables space in 2017, including DKNY, Marc Jacobs, MICHELLE, Relic and Tory Burch.

Now, the company actually introduced some Michael Kors smartwatches earlier today, and in case you’re interested in those, click here. In addition to the main announcement, Fossil also talked a bit more about some of their brands. The company said that DKNY, MICHELLE, Michael Kors and Tory Burch products will arrive during the Holidays this year, Christmas holidays at the end of the year. On the other hand, Marc Jacobs, Relic, Armani Exchange, Chaps, Diesel, Emporio Armani and Fossil are due to arrive in Fall this year. Now, the company will introduce some Fossil-branded products in the Summer as well, and Misfit wearable(s) will land in April. It seems like Fossil is getting ready to throw a ton of wearables our way, which is a good thing, as we’ll have plenty to choose from, though most of those products won’t arrive until the fourth quarter of this year, so do keep that in mind in case you’re interested in getting any of their products this year.
